It is possible to dig up URL specific information at Google. The info search command returns single URL snippet from the search engine's index.

The info command at Google returns the snippet description and prefered link for an URL if it is in the search engine's index. There is a link to Google's cache of the URL, a link to similar pages, a link to pages which link to the URL, pages from the site and which contain the URL.

Where the URL is not in Google's index, the search engine states: "Sorry, no information is available for the URL www.example.com". There is a link to the URL, a link search results from the site and to search results for the URL used as a query.
